Light it UP! A great pepper steak recipe.
Pepper steak
This is an easy, cheap, & quick steak recipe!
- 4 sirloin steaks
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- smoked sea salt
- 2 tbsp coarsely ground pepper
- 1 c heavy cream
- 1 tsp beef base + 1/8 c water
- a dash of brandy (one shot)
Pound sirloin with meat mallet to tenderize.Press pepper into both sides of steak. Set aside. Melt butter in skillet, add steaks. Sprinkle sea salt. Brown well, then turn (only once). Remove from skillet & cover with foil. Add heavy cream to skillet, while stirring also add beef broth. Reduce slightly then remove from skillet & set aside Clean skillet, add steaks, pour brandy over steaks then ignite (carefully!). Add cream mixture & heat one minute. Serve with a chopped green salad and mashed cauliflower.
